Baby Logan – Sneak Peek
This here is handsome Mister Baby Logan. He’s about 3 weeks old and just absolutely precious. I was supposed to take Logan’s pictures a long time ago, but I got really sick and needed to stay as far away from his tininess as possible. Finally, I was able to get some shots of him, today.
This session was much different for me. Since Logan is older than ideal, Mom and Dad asked me to focus on family shots, something I’ve never done! Logan’s mom was a rockstar, though, and had sample poses that she has seen and loves which made my job much easier.
Logan’s Mom, Kirby, is also a photographer, and she took family portraits for us last month. You can see some of those in this album on Facebook. She is a fantastic photographer, isn’t she!
Well, stay tuned for the family pics I got!

Baby Oliver
Meet Baby Oliver. This precious baby boy had such a quick delivery that his poor little arm got broken
That’s why you see a wrap in some of his photos. There is not as much variety in his poses because of this, but he was such a trooper and I think I got some great shots for his family.
Congratulations, again, to Oliver’s family!

Baby Oliver – Sneak Peek
This here is handsome little Baby Oliver. This session of my friends’ baby boy was actually a couple months ago and have only recently had the time to start going through it.
One thing about Oliver – the poor little guy had a broken arm
His delivery was so fast that he got a fracture during the birth. Needless to say, I was very limited on the poses I could put Oliver in, so I wasn’t able to get as many shots as normal, but he was quite the little trooper! Either way, I’m glad I was able to capture some pics for his family and I’m happy to report that his arm is nice and healed up now
Patrick and Rachel, you and your boys are beautiful.

Baby Lilly
My dear friend Brenda and her husband Kevin welcomed their beautiful baby girl to the world at the end of July. Luckily, I came to CA in the beginning of August and was able to capture some precious photos of Lilly at 10 days old. She was such a precious little angel to photograph and slept so wonderfully for me.
Brenda and Kevin, she’s beautiful, and so are both of you. Love you guys!

Experimenting with storyboards
Something I haven’t done yet is storyboards. What’s a storyboard? It’s a collage of photos with the intent of telling a story
I really like them and plan to include one in all future client blog posts.
What I really like about them is their print potential. Canvases arranged as storyboards are very popular, but also very pricey. So a more affordable option is to order a single canvas as a storyboard. Personally, I think they look best as at least a 16″x24″, but the above example has been designed as an 11″x16″ and since there are only 3 photos, it works.
With only 3 photos, the above example (featuring Grace) is about as basic as they come, but they can include as many as 9 photos and have more interesting arrangements. However, the more photos on a storyboard, the bigger the final size should be.
I absolutely love storyboards and am excited to offer them to my clients! More examples to come!
(Please note that my blog template puts a slightly off-white boarder around my images and that it is not part of the storyboard.)
Baby Grace
Last week, I had the pleasure of taking Baby Grace’s first portraits, and my goodness, was she a little angel! At just over 2 weeks old, Gracie was still as sleepy as could be and did so well. I will admit to being rather nervous going into it because she was older than “ideal”, but she’s one of the sleepiest newborns I’ve had yet!
You will notice a beautiful handmade blanket in some of these pics – it was made by Gracie’s grandma and is very special to the family. You see, Grace’s daddy had a blanket very similar when he was a baby, so his mom made this for Grace and shipped it to her with a photo of her daddy wrapped in the blanket it was designed after. How cool is that?
Huge congratulations to Grace’s family! I’m so glad I captured these photos of your precious baby girl.
